{"id":11104,"date":"2026-05-27T08:08:14","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T06:08:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/segreterie.unica.it\/medicinaechirurgia\/?page_id=11104"},"modified":"2026-05-28T13:29:23","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T11:29:23","slug":"admissions-procedures-for-non-eu-applicants-residing-abroad","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/segreterie.unica.it\/medicinaechirurgia\/studenti-internazionali\/admissions-procedures-for-non-eu-applicants-residing-abroad\/","title":{"rendered":"Admissions procedures for non-EU applicants residing abroad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Admission to the Single-Cycle Master\u2019s Degree Programmes in Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, and Medicine and Surgery in English (Medicine and Surgery), for non-EU candidates residing abroad<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To participate in the selection procedures for the above-mentioned degree programmes, non-EU candidates residing abroad are required to:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1 \u2013 Pre-enrol on the Universitaly portal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.universitaly.it\/\">https:\/\/www.universitaly.it\/<\/a>), indicating the University of Cagliari and the degree programme of interest.<\/p>\n<p>Online pre-enrolment on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universitaly.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Universitaly<\/a> portal is mandatory for all non-EU students residing abroad who require a study visa to enter Italy and enrol at the University of Cagliari.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadlines and Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Submission deadline:<\/strong> Pre-enrolment applications must be completed and submitted by <strong>6 July 2026, 11:59 PM (Italian time)<\/strong>. This deadline allows the University sufficient time to carry out administrative checks and validate applications before the deadlines established by Embassies\/Consulates for visa issuance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Diplomatic Representation:<\/strong> While completing the application, candidates must select the Italian Embassy or Consulate in their country of residence. Non-EU citizens residing in a European country must select the Italian diplomatic representation located in that specific country.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Documents:<\/strong> To ensure rapid validation, applicants must upload the complete set of mandatory documents (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/segreterie.unica.it\/medicinaechirurgia\/mandatory-documents-for-universitaly\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">see requirements<\/a><\/strong><\/span> for Bachelor\u2019s\/Single-Cycle programmes).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Incomplete applications will be reopened for integration and will only be validated after all documents have been submitted. Even if the application is incomplete or documents are missing, it must still be submitted by <strong>6 July 2026<\/strong> in order to allow subsequent updates or integrations. It will be possible to submit the missing documentation <strong>no later than 15 July 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Limited-access programmes:<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">For programmes with restricted admission (numerus clausus), the Universitaly application will only be validated if the candidate is included among the successful applicants in the official ranking list<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pre-enrolment is essential in order to apply for a study visa at the Italian diplomatic-consular representation in the country of residence.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates must verify with the Italian diplomatic-consular representation the procedures, required documentation, and deadlines to be respected in order to obtain the entry visa in time to sit the admission tests and to obtain the documentation necessary for enrolment (e.g. Declaration of Value).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT NOTICE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Validation of a pre-enrolment application <strong>does not guarantee<\/strong> the issuance of a study visa (which falls under the exclusive authority of Italian diplomatic representations), nor does it guarantee university enrolment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Enrolment is completed only if the candidate follows all procedures indicated in the admission call and submits all mandatory documents within the established deadlines.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In accordance with the \u201cPROCEDURES FOR THE ENTRY, STAY AND ENROLMENT OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AND THE RELATED RECOGNITION OF QUALIFICATIONS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION COURSES IN ITALY\u201d published by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR), it is specified that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>No automatic right to a visa:<\/strong> Prior acceptance by the university does not grant the right to visa issuance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>No automatic right to enrolment:<\/strong> Obtaining a visa does not automatically entitle the student to enrolment. Enrolment falls under the exclusive authority of the Higher Education Institution.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Verification of qualifications:<\/strong> The University of Cagliari must verify the suitability and authenticity of all foreign qualifications. Prior acceptance does not guarantee enrolment, even if the candidate already possesses an entry visa, is physically present in Italy, or has been awarded a scholarship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Final note: <\/strong>If the University of Cagliari is unable to complete the enrolment of an international student due to the lack of the required qualifications or documentation, the relevant diplomatic representation will be promptly informed for the immediate revocation of the entry visa.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>2 \u2013 Register online for the admission test<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since the test is held in person, candidates are required to verify the procedures, required documentation, and deadlines for applying for the entry visa to Italy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3 \u2013 Sit the admission test<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>4 \u2013 Complete enrolment at the University of Cagliari<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Admission to the Single-Cycle Master\u2019s Degree Programmes in Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, and Medicine and Surgery in English (Medicine and Surgery), for non-EU candidates residing abroad To participate in the selection procedures for the above-mentioned degree programmes, non-EU candidates residing abroad are required to: 1 \u2013 Pre-enrol on the Universitaly portal (https:\/\/www.universitaly.it\/), indicating the University of Cagliari and the degree programme of interest.
