{"id":11079,"date":"2026-05-26T09:58:57","date_gmt":"2026-05-26T07:58:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/segreterie.unica.it\/medicinaechirurgia\/?page_id=11079"},"modified":"2026-05-28T17:10:12","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T15:10:12","slug":"mandatory-documents-for-universitaly","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/segreterie.unica.it\/medicinaechirurgia\/studenti-internazionali\/mandatory-documents-for-universitaly\/","title":{"rendered":"Mandatory documents for Universitaly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><em>UNIVERSITALY: REQUIRED DOCUMENTS<\/em><\/strong><em><br \/>\nfor Bachelor\u2019s Degree Programmes and Single-Cycle Master\u2019s Degree Programmes<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>_______________________________________________________________________________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The documents listed below must be uploaded separately (one at a time) in the pre-enrolment application to be submitted on the Universitaly portal (<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.universitaly.it\/\"><em>https:\/\/www.universitaly.it<\/em><\/a><em>):<\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><em>Identity Document:<\/em><\/strong><em> Valid passport<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Passport-size photograph<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Upper Secondary School Diploma:<\/em><\/strong><em> It must have been obtained after at least 12 years of schooling and must grant access to first-level university programmes in the country where the qualification was issued.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Certificate of passing the academic aptitude test (only if such a test is required for university entrance in the country of origin)<\/em><\/strong><em>;<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong><em>Additional requirements for the Diploma:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Original upper secondary school diploma and official sworn translation (Italian or English).<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Declaration of Value (DoV)<\/em><\/strong><em> issued by the competent Italian Diplomatic Representation, with legalization\/Apostille on both the original document and the translation. <\/em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hcch.net\/en\/instruments\/conventions\/authorities1\/?cid=41\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Check the competent authorities responsible for issuing the Apostille<\/em><\/a><\/span><em>.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>As an alternative to the Declaration of Value (DoV): <strong>Statement of Comparability<\/strong> and <strong class=\"Yjhzub\" data-sfc-root=\"c\" data-sfc-cb=\"\" data-complete=\"true\">Statement of Verification<\/strong> issued by CIMEA.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>WARNING:<\/em><\/strong><em> <strong><u>Any CIMEA Statements of Correspondence downloaded from the <\/u><\/strong><\/em><strong><u><a href=\"https:\/\/ardi.cimea.it\/it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>ARDI database<\/em><\/a><\/u><\/strong><strong><em><u> will not be taken into consideration<\/u><\/em><\/strong><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Note for programmes taught in English:<\/em><\/strong><em> If the qualification was originally issued in English, a sworn translation into Italian is not required.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>_______________________________________________________________________________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Mandatory language requirements:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><em> Knowledge of the Italian language: <\/em><\/strong><em>Non-EU citizens residing abroad who enrol in programmes taught in Italian must provide a certificate proving knowledge of Italian at least at <strong>B2 level<\/strong>, issued by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/it\/diplomazia-culturale-e-diplomazia-scientifica\/cultura\/promozionelinguaitaliana\/certificazioni-linguistiche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">CLIQ institutions<\/span><\/em><em>.<\/em><\/a><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong><em> Knowledge of the English language (for programmes taught in English): <\/em><\/strong><em>Non-EU citizens residing abroad who enrol in programmes taught in English (e.g. Medicine and Surgery) must provide a certificate proving knowledge of English at least at <strong>B2 level<\/strong> of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). For this purpose, internationally recognised certifications accepted by the University of Cagliari and issued by accredited certification bodies may be used. The accepted international certifications are listed at: <a href=\"https:\/\/web.unica.it\/unica\/it\/cla_servizi_cert.page?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">University of Cagliari Language Certifications<\/span><\/em><em>. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>See the <\/em><\/span><\/em><\/a><em><em><a href=\"https:\/\/web.unica.it\/unica\/protected\/490988\/0\/def\/ref\/GNC201000\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>relevant table<\/em><\/span><em>.<\/em><\/a><\/em><\/em><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>_______________________________________________________________________________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Compensation years<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>If the diploma was obtained after <strong>fewer than 12 years of schooling<\/strong>, the following must be provided:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>11-year system:<\/em><\/strong><em> Academic certificate proving that all examinations of the first year of university have been passed.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>10-year system:<\/em><\/strong><em> Academic certificate proving that all examinations of the first two years of university have been passed.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Alternative options:<\/em><\/strong><em> A post-secondary qualification (1 or 2 years) in a related field, or a <strong>Foundation Year certificate<\/strong> (which compensates for only 1 missing year) issued by a foreign or Italian university. Foundation Year certificates will only be accepted if issued by institutions accredited by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) or the relevant Ministry of Education. If the teaching institution differs from the awarding institution, both must be accredited.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Note:<\/em><\/strong><em> These certifications are intended solely to meet the required 12 years of schooling and cannot be used for course shortening (credit recognition).
